Charmaine Llave is a singer, songwriter, pianist and guitarist. She has been singing since she was 4 with her older sister Stephanie and has been playing the piano since the age of 6. She has completed sixth grade in the subject of Piano for Leisure with the Australian music Examination Board (AMEB), as well as completing fifth grade in the subject of Theory in Music with AMEB. Charmaine has graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Music, majoring in Music and Theatre performance.
Charmaine has been actively involved with CaSPA since 2004 and found her love for the performing arts. She began with being part of the mass ensemble for the CaSPA performance of ‘Bridges’, then was part of the vocal ensemble in 2005 for ‘Entertaining Angels’. In 2007, Charmaine was selected to be part of the CaSPA overseas tour, performing around the US. She also performed during World Youth Day in 2008 for the Opening Papal Mass at Barangaroo Park as well as other World Youth Day ceremonies. Charmaine was a soloist at the CaSPA Live – A Musical Experience Showcase in 2010, as well the Holy Mystery – Spirit Dream in Burning Hearts Performance in 2011. In 2012, Charmaine was a lead vocalist / soloist in the Sydney Archdiocesan Festival ‘Tell Me A Story’ as well as performing as a cantor at the Archbishop of Sydney Awards Ceremony for Year 12 students at St. Mary’s Cathedral.
