Nancy has been a Regional Coordinator of the CaSPA program since its inception in 2000 and been involved in numerous teacher professional development and student ensemble programs. With a particular passion for the voice, she has led a number of regional, school and community choirs involving both young students and adults and her vocal teaching extends into the private domain. She has taken a major role in choral direction for a number of large-scale Regional, Archdiocesan and Community performances including: Jubilee 2000, Reconciliation 2000, Celebrate 2000, “ Bridges”(2004), “ Entertaining Angels”(2005), World Youth Day (2008) Choir (2008) and Tell Me a Story (2012).
Nancy’s extensive career as a music educator has spanned many years across primary, secondary and tertiary levels and is currently a lecturer at the University of Sydney in primary music education for undergraduate and postgraduate teacher education programs. Her active involvement in a variety of projects and groups to support the Music Curriculum is testimony to her commitment to valuing and promoting music education as a key area of learning.
